FindOurDate
Privacy policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
FindOurDate helps groups agree on a meeting date. We only collect the data the app needs to work. We never sell it and we show no ads.
Account
If you create an account, we store your email address, your password (as a hash only) and — if you provide them — a display name and time zone. When you sign in with Google or Facebook, we only receive your email address and an account identifier. You don't need an account to vote in an event.
Events and voting
We store the event details (title, description, location, proposed dates) and participants' responses: a name or nickname, an optional email address and the availability they marked. Other people with the event link can see this information.
Contacts
You can save a contact list (name and optional email) to invite the same people faster. Your list is visible only to you.
Calendar connection
If you connect your calendar (e.g. Google), we store that account's address and encrypted access tokens. We use them only to check when you are busy and to add the agreed event to your calendar. You can disconnect at any time in account settings — we then delete the tokens.
Emails
We only send emails the app needs: account confirmation and event notifications. You can turn notifications off in settings. We send no newsletters and no ads.
Cookies
We use essential cookies: for signing in, remembering your language and recording your cookie decision. With your consent we also use Google Analytics analytics cookies (see the section below). Fonts and styles are loaded from Google Fonts and jsDelivr — those services see your IP address when that happens.
Bot protection (reCAPTCHA)
To protect our forms — sign-in and registration, event creation and anonymous voting — from bots, we use Google reCAPTCHA v3. The service loads a Google script and analyses how you interact with the page (including your IP address and interactions) to tell humans from bots; for this Google may set its own cookies. Google's processing of this data is subject to its privacy policy and terms of use.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
To understand how the site is used, we use Google Analytics 4. Analytics is off by default (Google Consent Mode v2: analytics_storage = "denied") and only starts after you give consent in the cookie banner — until then Google Analytics sets no cookies. After you consent, the service loads Google's script and stores analytics cookies (including _ga and _ga_*), and processes your IP address and information about your interactions with the page to produce traffic statistics. Google's processing of this data is subject to its privacy policy and terms of use. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the cookies in your browser settings.
Where we store data
Data is stored in the Microsoft Azure cloud and is not shared with anyone beyond the services listed above.
Your rights
You can correct your data in account settings or delete your account entirely (Account management → Delete account) — we then remove the data linked to it. If you want us to remove data saved without an account (e.g. your vote in an event), write to us.
